Your Thoughts: My wife said...her service friend. speculated Prince would leave his vast fortune to the Society!
by goingthruthemotions inso, talking with my wife yesterday.
she was out cart witnessing (barf) and one of the people she was with claimed to have know prince, or meet him or something like that.
well anyways...they or her or someone (they are all braindoogled) speculated or fantasized that since prince did not have any relatives or something or the other.

If he left rights to his music to WT, maybe they could revamp the songbook to include some of his hits! -

Sanderson Patronises Ex-Bethelites
by konceptual99 indon't normally waste time watching these but this one caught my eye as it was obvious what the subject matter would be about..... http://tv.jw.org/#en/video/vodprogramsevents/pub-jwbmw_201604_2_video.
mark sanderson: accept change with faith and confidence (heb.
basically sanderson is giving a pep talk to all those that have new assignments changed.

Isn't Sanderson 50 or 51 years-old? Dude looks like he's pushing 70! ... And he looks like he's a pork chop away from a heart attack! Does the annual nibbling of crackers and sipping of wine cause baldness, obesity, and premature aging?
If anointing with holy spirit does that to a person, I'll pass. Being "worldly" must really agree with me. I'm only a very little bit younger than him and am told I look like Greg Kinnear. Okay, maybe his slightly less handsome younger brother.
Sandersons mourning warship comments are entitled, "Accept Change with Faith and Confidence." My change was leaving bethel, the cult, and blind obedience to the self-appointed spokesmen of a Bronze Age desert god. I learned to have faith that there are good "worldly" people and organizations. And I learned to have self-confidence.
Leaving bethel was a rough adjustment to the real world for me, but it was my first step away from the cult. Despite the turbulence, my life now is immeasurably better than ever. Life without the drudgery and FOG of Watchtower Corp is fantastic!

Circuit Overseer say. . .
by Ringo inlast night i had to suffer through the bs spouted by the new co. some garbage about the bible transforming us as people.
he went on and on about how we can look good to people at the hall who see the outside, but the bible will tell us what we are inside.. then he proceeded to use a few select verses to say sex is bad and so is the desire for it.
a healthy bank account or savings is wrong, shouldn't have that either.

By the end of the talk, could you see the guy through all the FOG (fear, obligation, guilt)?
"Where did everyone go? I was going to share this encouraging scripture from my smartphone about how you will all die horrible deaths if you don't preach enough!"

My sister who is still in is going to Costa Rica as a missionary
by time2keepmoving ini left the organization in 2011 and never look back.
i left behind my sister and her two daughters by mid 2015 both her daughters (both are in their early twenties) were disfellowshipped and left the organization.
she has decided to go to costa rica as a missionary (i guess that's what they are still calling them, unless that has changed, been gone so long i don't know if they came up with a new term for it).

She is going over there as a single sister in her late forties.
Going to Costa Rica as a need-greater? She needs a better retirement plan than that!

Another Newbie
by Drifting Away inhello, i have been lurking for a while, but discovered ttatt for about 8 months now.
i am trying to fade out, problem is i have a big family i would lose if i got df'ed or da,'ed myself.
my wife knows how i feel, and is not thrilled but i cant hide my feelings.

Welcome!
If you want to fade, take your time, do your research, and figure out what you're comfortable with. My fade took a few years, but it has been worth it. There's no need to be in a huge hurry, it's not like armageddon is coming any time soon.

Excellent Conversation At Literature Trolley
by cofty inyesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.
on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.
there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.

That "experience" should be in the yearbook!
John - But who says evolution is true?
If Noah fit all the animals alive on earth in a floating box about 4000 years ago, the Bible teaches a far more radical "dogma" of massive evolutionary scale and brief timetable than anything proposed in the field of science.

Why does this crap happen to me?
by Darkknight757 ini swear i must have bad luck or just happen to be in the wrong place at the right time or maybe i'm just blowing this out of proportion.. so the other night my wife and i are packing the car to head home from vacation in the smokeys in tennessee when i get the brilliant idea to take out the garbage at 9:30 at night.
i walk in the dark to the caged garbage can with a flashlight, put the trash away and walk back to the house.
afterward i decide to load up the car.

You made it through all 3 events without crapping yourself (or dropping the case of wine, eh?). Instead, you've come away with 3 memorable life events, LOL. -

It looks like an above-ground basement.
But he said that after they prayed together as a body and discussed it it became evident this was the direction Jehovahs spirit was leading them.
Evidently, Bronze Age desert gods are impressed by painted concrete blocky structures and flat roofs. I wonder if the walls go up high enough to serve as a parapet as required by the Mosaic Law.

You are tomato sauce...
by rrb2016 inthe wife and i went to the memorial strictly out of respect for my mother-in-law last night.
luckily our 20 month-old grand-baby was restless and making noise, so i quickly volunteered to take him in the back.
so i didn't have to listen to the presentation.

The annointed are apparently the first tomatoes, used for salads and things like that.
Likening these guys to tomatoes is an insult to tomatoes.
Tomatoes (also known as Love Apples) are nourishing and nutritious, delicious, and enjoyed by billions of people. The GB are none of those things. The only similarity is that most of the GB are round like tomatoes.
A more appropriate illustration would be that the anointed are like the firstfarts which can bring tears to your eyes and clear out the room. The dog is usually blamed for producing these fartful whiffs of noxious gas, but these guys represent Jehovah's farts.

now these ones face a sparse old age with little provision set aside.

They give an example of an elderly couple who face difficulties but because they were such good examples to the others, a young couple in the cong.took them in and provided a home for them
Unless this young couple happen to have an apartment over the garage for that couple, this would be an effective method to have a sexless marriage... for all of them. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't imagine getting into a passionate lovemaking session when some elderly church people are under the same roof.
